Six people from Bihar’s Motihar region were caught by members of Meitei Council Moreh (MCM) in the border town of Moreh over duping several residents into the instant making of jewellery items and cleaning and colouring of old jewellery. The local residents were duped of their money by the four persons who were later cornered by volunteers of MCM. They have been identified as Dhuri Shah, Lalan Shah, Shravan Shah, Tanna Kumar, Satrohon Shah, and Kasi Shah. MCM president M Thoiba said that it has come to light that the four frauds from Bihar came to Nagaland’s Dimapur in January and from there they went to Moirang and then arrived in Moreh. Thoiba appealed that people should stay alert against such non-Manipuri cheaters.
