Imphal, the 27th Sept 2019: A one day interaction cum counselling session of children in conflict with law (CCLs) was organised by Manipur State Legal Services Authority on 27th of September, 2019 at Observation Home cum Special Home, Takyelpat, Imphal West.
The programme was attended by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Kh. Nobin Singh, Executive Chairman, MASLSA and Judge, High Court of Manipur, Smt. G. Gaiphulshillu, Member Secretary, MASLSA, Shri Ojesh Mutum, Addl. Member Secretary (i/c), MASLSA, Shri K. Nirojit, Secretary, DLSA, Shri Sorokhaibam Sadananda, Deputy Member Secretary, MASLSA and Shri Dr. R.K. Lenin, Professor and Head (Department of Psychiatry) RIMS, and his team headed by Dr. L. Roshan Singh (Assistant Professor, Dept. of Clinical Psychology). The programme focused on the group as well as individual counselling of all the CCLs, currently housed in the Observation Home. In the group counselling, Dr R.K. Lenin emphasized on the causes and effects of depression, anxiety and self-guilt and at the same time, elaborated on some of the preventive measures which can be taken up. It was then followed by individual counselling sessions for each CCL conducted by Dr L. Roshan Singh, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Clinical Psychology, RIMS and his team of psychologists.
Hon’ble Mr Justice Kh. Nobin Singh thanked Dr R.K. Lenin and his team for their valuable and meaningful inputs for making the program successful. He also shared words of encouragement for the children. The programme concluded with the presentation of gifts by Hon’ble Mr Justice Kh. Nobin Singh, Executive Chairman, Manipur State Legal Services Authority to the CCLs.
