The Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (COHSEM) has declared the result of class 12th examination 2019. Around 28,649 students appeared in the examination which was held from February 18 till March 20, 2019 conducted by Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur. Of this, 20,731 students are from Science stream, 7554 students from Arts Stream and 664 students from Commerce stream. The passing percentage this year is 73.83 percent as compared to last year which is 67. 04 percent. The total number of passing students is 61.96 percentage from government institution and overall pass percentage of non-government institution is 78.64 percent. Along with declaration of the result, Manipur Board has also announced the toppers list for all the streams. Micheal Atom and Laishram Librada Singh have jointly secured the 1st Rank in science stream securing 476 marks. Similarly, Oinam Barlin Meitei has secured top honours in the Arts stream with 445 marks, while Gurumayum Roberto Sharma has been ranked 1st in the Commerce stream with 416 marks. After the declaration of COHSEM 12th Result 2019, the Manipur Board will also announce the detailed schedule for Supplementary Exam, Re-evaluation and Rechecking details soon. Last year as many as 28,020 students appeared for the Manipur 12th Board exams. The overall pass percentage stood at 67.04%. In terms of gender-wise performance, 67% pass percentage was registered by the girls while 66% success ratio was for boys.
Another good news, Tampha Chanu from Imphal West Singjamei Chongtham Lekai has bagged 3rd rank for all over India & topper for Rajasthan in the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination 2019. She is the daughter of Ningombam Meiraba and Sumati of Singjamei Chongtham Leikai in Imphal West. She scored 99.5 percentage as she scored 389 marks out of total of 400. Chanu scored 98 marks in English, 100 in Economics, 100 in Psychology, 100 in History and 94 in mathematics. It may be mentioned that Tampha Chanu is a student of Mayo College Girls’ School, Ajmer in Rajasthan.
