Troops of Assam Rifles under HQ IGAR (South) recovered contraband drugs worth 10.40 lakhs from Khudengthabi Check post in Tengnoupal district on 08 Nov 2019. During a routine vehicle check post established at 0910 hours on 08 Nov 2019, troops of Assam Rifles stopped a suspicious White Colour Bus bearing registration No. MN 0601BA 0066. On carrying out a thorough check of the bus the team recovered 02 packets of Heroin weighing approximately 26 grams and costing approximately Rs 10,40,000 from one of the passengers Mr. Lalkhogou Age- 64 years of Churachandpur.
The detained individual and the recovered items have been handed over to PS Moreh for further investigation.
